We are engineering the core infrastructure that liberates commerce operators from the cloud tax.
Our Engineering Ethos
We value clean system architecture, resource efficiency, and local performance constraints over distributed system bloat. If you love Rust, DuckDB, SQLite, and Tauri, you will fit right in.
Company Culture and Values
Sensyze was founded on the belief that data sovereignty should not require sacrificing modern tooling or developer experience. We are a small, focused team of systems engineers, database architects, and product designers who care deeply about resource efficiency and clean abstractions. Every decision we make is evaluated against a simple principle: does this give our users more control over their data without adding unnecessary complexity? We favour depth over breadth, correctness over speed, and long-term architectural integrity over short-term feature velocity. If you resonate with building tools that respect the user's infrastructure and intelligence, you will find a home here.
Benefits and Perks
We offer competitive compensation packages that include base salary, performance bonuses, and early-stage equity grants. All team members receive comprehensive health insurance, a generous learning and development budget for conferences, courses, and certifications, and a home office stipend to ensure a productive remote workspace. We provide flexible paid time off, paid parental leave, and mental health support through our employee assistance programme. Our team also enjoys quarterly off-site gatherings where we collaborate in person, plan roadmap priorities, and strengthen cross-functional relationships. We believe that great work happens when people feel trusted, supported, and well-resourced.
Remote Work and Distributed Engineering
Sensyze operates as a distributed-first company with team members across multiple time zones. We have hubs in Bangalore and select European cities, but the majority of our engineering work happens asynchronously through well-documented RFCs, code reviews, and recorded video discussions. We provide the tools and processes needed for effective remote collaboration, including shared development environments, automated CI and CD pipelines, and a culture of written communication that ensures no one is excluded from important decisions regardless of their location. Our core collaboration hours overlap across time zones, and we respect boundaries outside of those windows.
Tech Stack and Engineering Practices
Our platform is built with a deliberate focus on performance, portability, and long-term maintainability. The core desktop application uses Tauri with a Rust backend and a TypeScript frontend. Data processing engines include DuckDB for in-container analytics, PostgreSQL for durable storage, and ClickHouse for high-throughput analytical workloads. We use Daft for distributed dataframe processing, Temporal for durable workflow orchestration, and Python for customer-facing transform scripts. Our deployment infrastructure runs on Docker and Kubernetes with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code. We write comprehensive tests, practice continuous deployment, and maintain a strong culture of code review across every pull request.
